I spent the majority of Columbus Day weekend (including my first ever paid holiday!) setting up my bedroom at the new house and it's almost complete! I am using this time to really assess my organization systems and also spend some time to decorate things a little bit differently!
I just wanted to share a few pictures of the progress that happened this weekend...
There is still a ton to do, but I'm proud of how much was accomplished in the last two days. We are officially moving into this house later in the week...so hopefully I'll be able to finish up a few major things this week and have my room almost completed! =)
My corner of the internet where I share my daily life, home diy, travel, and my favorite things.

How was your week?
Brittni and Stephen's Fall Wedding
One of my best friends, someone who I've been friends with since first grade, got married on Saturday!
Brittni and Stephen's wedding was located in Richmond, Rhode Island on Brit's family property. It was a beautiful ceremony a full of homemade, creative details that truly made the ceremony their own.
The morning of the wedding it was pouring rain and we thought for sure it would rain through the entire day. We were prepared with rainboots, umbrellas and tents set up around the property. Right before we walked down the aisle the rain stopped. Then right after the ceremony the sun started to peak through the clouds!
Brittni and Stephen gave every guest a mason jar to use as their cup for the night which also served as their favor.
This is where the ceremony took place, with a beautiful view of Moonshine Swamp, known throughout my childhood as "The Pond".
After rehearsal we headed to Wood River Inn where we had a rehearsal dinner. Brittni and Stephen had one of the rooms put aside for our group which was a ton of fun!
After a little more crafting we left the tent to head home and get a good nights sleep!
On Saturday morning all the bridesmaids met at Brittni's moms house to get our hair done.
I love getting my hair done, especially since my regular hairdresser Kayla was the one to do my hair for the wedding! She does amazing updos!
The beautiful bride!
After taking professional pictures at Brittni's aunts house (who has a gorgeous covered bridge on her property) we headed to Brittni and Stephen's apartment to get ready to walk down the aisle. We were amused by Aubrey the flower girl who was seriously excited about her job!
Brittni and Stephen's first dance after the ceremony (they danced to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri- one of my favorite songs!)
