Today I thought I would share today a few things I am no longer
Photos
Now, I love to take pictures- I always have. I have pictures all the way back to middle school and at one point in the olden days when you actually had to develop film I ended up with a lot of blurry pictures. Digital cameras came around when I was in high school but we still took quite a few pictures with film cameras- meaning I have albums and albums full of pictures that don't really mean anything to me. I also took a lot of pictures of people I don't remember or haven't seen since high school and was barely friends with back then.
So I went through every single album. Every last picture. I weeded out the pictures I didn't care about and have a much more reasonable (but still a lot) pile of pictures. I will be sorting these into photo boxes and my eventual plan is to go back and scrapbook everything. I have big plans for my scrapbooking, but it will take me years to get through everything I want to get through....so time consuming! At least now I have a handle on my photos and I have a better idea of where I'd like this project to go!
Movie Tickets
See that little frame on the top shelf? That is my movie ticket/ concert ticket holder. I got the idea off pinterest and thought oh great I will have a place to put all my movie tickets. After a little while and a lot of thinking I decided I was going to get rid of all my movie tickets.
I may hold onto certain tickets that I wish to scrapbook the event, but why do I need every movie ticket? Plus, many of them are fading as the years pass..what good is a ticket stub you can't even read?
I tossed all of my tickets and the frame and quite honestly I'm glad that I did!
Toys/Souveniers/Stuffed Animals
I used to have quite a few "special" stuffed animals. I had a ton of build-a-bears and stuffed animals from when I was little. I also had Disney snow globes and other items I held onto for no reason other then being sentimental. I donated them all to the Salvation Army and don't feel bad about it in the least.
I held onto a few stuffed animals from when I was very young that do mean something to me. I also held onto my American Girl Doll but everything else had to go!
Those are a few things that I've gotten rid of lately that I didn't find necessary to hold onto anymore. I am still working on decluttering even more. At some point in the not too distant future I will be moving out of my parents house and I do not want to lug a ton of unnecessary stuff with me!
Anyways, I'm off to watch the Pretty Little Liars season finale and find out who A is!
Have a great night!
You better have saved EVERY single picture of me from middle school missy!
ReplyDeleteOr....actually....maybe those would be better in the trash! haha.
