Sunny Days, Linens and Loos.

Yesterday was a beautiful, gorgeous sunny day! It definitely gave me hope that the sun will stay out and spring will be here soon. Then I heard the weather report and they said snow was on the horizon- greatttt....

Oh well, at least Roxy and I were able to enjoy the sunshine.

I checked over on iheartorganizing to see what Jen's March challenge is. Linens and Loos is the title which I think is absolutely adorable. This means I'm starting to think about what projects I will complete with my linens and my bathroom. Here are a few ideas that I have...

  • I am going to sort through all my sheet sets, blankets, and towels. I will be getting rid of ones that I don't use and get down to just a bare minimum.
  • I want to organize all my spare linens in baskets at the top of my closet. Right now they are just piled and driving me crazy!
  • I would like a spare set of white sheets for my bed- so I may be finding and ordering one.
  • I will be reorganizing the bathroom drawers and cleaning them out.
  • I will be going through all my beauty products and makeup (despite them not living in either my linen area or bathroom)
I think that's a pretty good starting place!  What will you guys be working on this month?

Did anyone out there watch Bachelor on Monday night?! It was the Women Tell All episode and I cannot believe the bombshell that AshLee dropped on everyone! Personally I don't believe the Sean would have said something like that to her, I think she's just crazy and looking to get back at him. After she was so mad when he sent her home- there's definitely a chance she could make up something like that to make Sean look bad. Crazy girls. Also- I hate Tierra- but who doesn't? She belongs in the looney bin.
I can't wait to see the results next week- I'm hoping for Catherine =)

Do you watch the Bachelor? Who are you hoping ends up with Sean?

Have a great day everybody!

PLL Halloween Special

Todays breakfast was a bit of a change from the normal bowl of cheerios. We are running low on milk in this house, so I opted for my highly popular cheese roll. Wondering how to make said cheese roll? Well let me tell you- it's quite simple. Take a bulky roll, place 2-3 pieces of cheese inside and heat in microwave for 15 seconds or until cheese is slightly melted. Yum! It was delicious!

I haven't done my workout for today yet, but plan on doing a circuit workout from my collection on pinterest.

Tone up workout from @annicanicole #fitfluential

I'm thinking this one might be todays winner!

Did anyone watch the Pretty Little Liars Halloween special last night?! I was at work but caught up this morning after work and watched it online- I love when networks put their shows right online for people like me who work at night and constantly miss the best tv!

If you haven't watched it yet you may want to skip the rest of this blog post so I don't ruin anything for you.......

So peeps who are still left (peeps-hasn't come out of my mouth since middle school-where'd that come from!?)

  • Who kidnapped Aria? It sounded like a guy and a girl talking so I'm thinking Jenna and Noel? Maybe they just wanted to mess with the girls.

  • Who killed Garrett?  A. obviously. But who is A? Or part of the A-team?
  • What was Toby involved in on the train? He kept a pretty low profile!

  • Who tried to strangle Spencer? A-team..?

  • What did Aria's dad have going on with Alison? Were they involved in a romantic way? Creepy if so...

  • Who was in the body bag at the end? I'm thinking Alison? But if so how did her body get on board? Who put it there?

Ahh I have so many questions- I can't wait for the new season to start January 8th. I have a lot to keep me occupied until then but still- I want to know what happens next!

Well I'm off to eat lunch and workout! Have a great day everybody!

Glee Premiere and Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah

Today I want to talk about two different things, first up: The Glee Premiere!

SO, I have been a Gleek since day one. Lucky for me, my college roommate was a member of show choir in high school so the minute she saw a preview for Glee was set on making all the roommates watch the show so we could understand what she did in high school. Obviously Glee is a little bit different then her show choir was, but we were all immediately hooked on the show and I have been watching ever since.

I was nervous to start this season because I truly loved Rachel, Finn, Quinn, Kurt, and Puck. I didn't want any of them to leave the show and was really unsure of how the writers were going to make me love any new characters. I have to say that I much preferred watching Rachel in New York over watching what was going on back at McKinley but I enjoyed the whole episode overall. I especially loved Kate Hudson's role, what a mean lady she played! Being a dance teacher, I loved that! =)
I can't wait to see what happens next week, I hope some of the other characters come back for guest appearances, especially Finn.... =)

Also, last week I finished the book I was reading, Angel Falls by Kristin Hannah.

I had a hard time getting into the story initially, I didn't care enough about the characters at first because immediately once the novel started an accident happened. I needed a reason to root for the characters. I soon found it. I became so attached to these characters and couldn't believe I hadn't felt that way from the start. I found myself nervous for the outcome and honestly didn't predict the ending at all. I was nervous all the way until the end of the novel. I also saw a small connection between Angel Falls and Home Again, Val, one of the characters I had previously read in Home Again made another appearance in Angel Falls. It made me really excited that I have been reading all the Kristin Hannah novels and that she threw in connections for readers to catch onto. I would recommend this book, it definitely wasn't one of my all-time favorites but I did enjoy it. If you start it and don't immediately fall into the story, don't give up you just need to stick with it for a little bit longer and you will enjoy it, I promise! =)

Books, Movie and TV

Good morning everyone! I realized I haven't been keeping up with my tv shows/movies/books on this blog!

So lately I have had a few movies come in from Netflix. The first one was the newest Sherlock Holmes movie.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Poster

Lately my family has been making a family movie night out of the movies I get from Netflix which has been a lot of fun. This was a movie that I wasn't a HUGE fan of but I did enjoy. My dad loved it and my mom didn't care for it at all! So we were all over the spectrum... you definitely need to see the first movie in order to understand what is going on. It's also important to pay close attention to the movie as the mystery unfolds.

Another movie we just enjoyed on Sunday was...

Due Date Poster

Due Date was hysterical. It was definitely one of those enjoy because you just want to kick back and relax and not really pay attention. It was definitely rated R for a reason, there were many scenes that were..slightly uncomfortable....but overall I enjoyed this movie!

As far as tv goes here's what I've been enjoying lately....

Bachelor Pad 3! The finale was on Monday and oh my goodness I am going to miss this train-wreck of a show! Between Rachel and Michael's public breakup, Blakely and Tony's engagement, and Nick surprising EVERYONE and taking the money for himself...the finale was the craziest one I've ever seen, truly. I loved every second of it and am so sad that the season is over!

Last night I enjoyed watching the Season Finale of Dance Moms. This is one reality show I don't feel guilty about watching every week. I love watching the dancing above everything else, although the drama is pretty entertaining too! =)
I was so thrilled that Chloe, Brooke and Mackenzie all won titles and all of the girls did a magnificent job during their national competition!

I also watch SYTYCD and I am thrilled to announce that I will be attending their show in November!!! I am currently cheering for Tiffany and Cyrus but I do love them all! =)

I am a little embarrassed to admit this......but I LOVE Married to Jonas!! I was never ever a fan of the Jonas Brothers...to be completely honest I couldn't even tell you their first names before I watched this show, but this couple is so real and so endearing that I love them. I think it's because Danielle is just an average girl who is dealing with marrying into a famous family. She just seems like someone I would want to be best friends with!

And of course I'm just waiting for all my fall shows to come back on!

On the book front...

I just recently finished a book by Kristin Hannah called Comfort and Joy.

I absolutely loved this novel! It was a Christmas-time novel which totally put me in the Christmas spirit, despite it still being summer....It was a quick, easy read and completely heartfelt. I was feeling for all the main characters and just when I thought I had it all figured out the whole story was turned around with a huge surprise! I won't say what it is but just know that I highly recommend this book!

Right now I'm still working my way through Kristin Hannah novels and reading Angel Falls...

So far I'm really enjoying it! However after I'm done I'm planning on taking a break from Kristin Hannah and reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Everyone has been talking about it lately and I can't wait to read it!

Pretty Little Liars Finale

Warning...spoilers ahead...

The Pretty Little Liars finale last week was amazing, yes? Let's get down to business!

Toby as the "Betrayer" was the single most surprising thing that I have discovered this season. I was slightly tipped off after Spencer and Toby had their little special moment together..the look in Toby's eyes was almost scary so I knew that something had to be up with him but I hardly suspected that he was part of the A-team!

I didn't care about the Nate-Maya-Emily thing, it was such a small part of the overall storyline and I am so glad Nate is gone he was just a weird extra character. I was surprised that Paige had nothing to do with all that happened in the finale and that she was simply a victim but I think the writers had been pegging her with everything so that we would think that's what was going on. I did feel awful for Caleb and I do hope he ends up okay in the end. I think he should be fine despite Hanna sobbing and sobbing at the end (and beginning) of the episode.

My predictions for next season: I've heard a lot about people thinking that Toby is only part of the A-team to save Spencer but I'm not sure I  buy into that. Toby always HATED Alison, I'm not sure that he ever really got over that. Seeing him and Maya team was a little surprising but when I thought back on it, it does really make sense!
I think they will also reveal more about the A-team in the future. I also wonder if the show will be anything like the books (which I haven't read but heard a ton about) and deal with Alison having a twin in a psych-ward or something like that!

Anyways, I am very excited that it will be back for a Halloween special in October because I know I wouldnt' be able to wait until the next season starts without something new! Oh how I love this show =)

78th Birthday, Books I'm Reading, Christmas Shopping

Wow, this summer is flying by. I can't believe it is already the end of July...

I never got around to sharing pictures from last weekend's family birthday party for my Papa, so here they are.

Roxy, our party puppy. She is never quite sure how to respond to the attention she gets at family parties. Sometimes she takes off and hides under the desk in my mom's office. That is her usual sleeping location. In the picture she is sitting next to her daddy who will keep her safe from guests!

My dad and Annabel enjoyed posing with their hats, Annabel's hat was a little more flattering!

Everyone seemed to enjoy swimming in the pool. It was crystal clear thanks to my wonderful mom!

Vivian (my Papa's girlfriend) got to try on my dad's hat.

Roxy getting some love from Dan!

Cailean and his grandma playing some wii games!

Then it was time for singing and cake and presents! Happy 78th Birthday Papa!

The kids also like to torture their Uncle Bob!

And poor Roxy

There goes Papa with balloons on his car- hope you had a great party!

At the end of last week my papa, uncle craig, and cousins Annabel and Cailean left to go on a trip to Scotland. They invited the rest of the family to go, but it was such an expensive adventure and I had to worry about finding a job so it just wasn't in the cards for me. Someday I'll get over there! They are even going to be staying in a castle! I am so jealous! I do hope that they are having a fabulous time and I can't wait to hear all about the trip when they get back! Love them so much! =)

My job at a local daycare is just as challenging as ever. I have gotten quite attached to the kids though! One of the little boys yelled "wapow!" in his sleep on Friday and pumped his fist in the air. It was such a funny moment! A few of them cry and throw temper tantrums when they either have to leave me or I leave to go home for the day. It is nice to be loved. I definitely don't want to do this forever though, as much as I love to work and be with kids all day I would prefer to not change diapers! Yuck =p

Life has been pretty boring around here. I've been working so much that when I come home all I want to do is sleep!
I have managed to catch up on Pretty Little Liars and Dance Moms though. I couldn't believe everything that is happening in PLL, it is so dramatic and makes me nervous every time I watch it!!!

I also finished the book I've been working on called On Mystic Lake by Kristin Hannah. It was excellent! The story follows a woman who deals with her failing marriage by going to her childhood home where she reconciles with a childhood friend who needs her help. The book had so many twists and turns. I honestly love everything that Kristin Hannah writes, she is such an amazing author! I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a nice summer read.  Right now I am reading the new Emily Giffin novel which I will try to remember to mention once I finish it!

Yesterday I went shopping with my mom just for a quick run into Pier 1. I absolutely love that store. I picked up quite a few things for... (okay you're going to laugh at me)....Christmas Gifts! I am one of those annoying people who shop for Christmas all year long. I don't get any big gifts incase people end up buying them for themselves but I am well known for having all my gifts wrapped up in October eagerly awaiting the holiday season. Once my birthday (October 3rd) has passed, we are on our way to Christmas in my book! =)

I did however buy one little itty bitty thing for myself...
http://www.pier1.com/Catalog/DiningEntertaining/tabid/977/CategoryId/892/ProductId/9474/ProductName/Owl-Mug/language/en-US/Default.aspx

How cute is this owl mug?! I had to buy it for myself because it was too adorable to pass up! But everything else I bought was for gifts...

Well I'm off to get some things done and then watch some of the Olympics today, especially the gymnastics! Why is there no dance in the Olympics though? Just a thought.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

Weekend Update

This weekend was a busy one!

On Saturday I had a family friend's funeral/memorial service. My papa's best friend's wife died last week and her service was beautiful. She was an elementary school teacher and a great friend to all and it was a very sad morning.

Luckily the afternoon perked us up a little bit because we went to see my little cousins perform in a play put on by their theatre camp!

Aren't they adorable? The play was all about bullying which is such an important issue with kids. They all did such a great job and it was a great show to watch!

Two Outfits Of the Day....

Friday's outfit of the day was a long blue flowered skirt from Kohls, a blue short sleeved sweater from Kohls, and a lace white tank top from Wet Seal. I also am sporting a blue flowered headband from a headband set...I think I got at Target...? I honestly don't really remember!

Saturday's outfit of the day. Everything in this outfit is from clothes. Black pants, white sandals, and blue flowy top. Such a comfy outfit that also looks a bit dress.

Today I spent the day going out to breakfast with two of my friends and then my family spent the afternoon celebrating my papa's 78th birthday with a party! I will post pictures from that as soon as I get them loaded onto my computer and edited. We had a great time and I can't wait to see them all again!

Now it's time to watch the Bachelorette....who will Emily pick?! I hope that she ditches Jef and Arie and takes Sean back =)

Busy Busy Week

Oh my goodness. If working with kids isn't enough to make you exhausted each night I don't know what is!

A quick recap of my week...

Monday I enjoyed a regular day at work followed by watching one of my favorite shows- Bachelorette!! It was the men tell all episode which I really liked especially because I got to see Sean again... *sawooooon* However, I didn't even make it through the whole episode because I was so exhausted so I need to go back and watch that episode again...

Tuesdayyyy I worked all day and then headed to the dance studio to teach at night. It was a crazy long day...and I didn't even get to watch Dance Moms and Pretty Little Liars! So yes, I need to watch those sometime this week too....

Yesterday, Wednesday was my longest day yet. I worked all day and headed to the dance studio at night to teach. Then I went off with a few of my co-workers at the dance studio to go see a movie. We went to see Magic Mike which was really good. I've heard that people had mixed reactions about it, even from my own mother! My mom thought it was too sexual and awkward. I mean obviously it isn't a movie I would recommend for you to go see with your mom or grandma or anything like that. I had a great time with my friends though- all of us had a great time laughing and joking around!

I feel absolutely exhausted tonight and will probably call it an early night. I have a busy weekend filled with plans with friends and family. I have a funeral to attend for a close family friend, a birthday party, drinks with some of my friends, and a drama camp play...sounds like a fun-filled, completely random crazy weekend to me! =)

Chicken Salad Salad and Revenge!

I was right to not do too much of a workout before work yesterday because when I got back there I completed more leg lifts, crunches, push ups, and other conditioning! Fun but very tiring!

When I got home at 9pm I was so ready for dinner. Since I eat late at night very often because of my job I try to make my late meal a small one or at least eat something on the healthier side. I gobbled down this chicken salad salad. Yes, I meant to say salad twice!

Today for lunch is a yummy Bertolli meal, chicken alla vodka and farfalle. It is by far my FAVORITE Bertolli meal. I used to live off frozen meals, now I am trying to eat things that are healthier but once in a while you can't help but sneak in an old favorite! =)

I think I forgot to comment on the Revenge finale the other day! Oh my goodness. It is one of the best shows on tv right now (well not RIGHT now..but you know what I mean!). I think the characters are so intoxicating and there is so much to discover in every episode. I am so thankful it got renewed and am so excited for the new season to start because that means we find out about Emily (aka Amanda) 's mother!

Now I'm off to eat my lunch! Yum yum yum!
