Our Master Bedroom

Today I am sharing with you our bedroom! Again, as I think I said during our living room tour this is what our house looks like right now. Things will change as we update our home, especially if we turn this into our forever home, which is still up in the air!

We chose the biggest bedroom for our "master bedroom" although it is only slightly bigger than the other rooms. All of the bedrooms are quite small but we managed to fit all our bedroom furniture inside this room.

Here is the view when you enter the room...

I am still torn about curtains, I'm not sure if I want them or not. When I see a picture like this I think it looks empty and needs curtains but on a day to day basis I like the simplicity of just having the shades.

When you walk into our master bedroom you see our bed immediately which always holds Sophie's blanket and "Piggy" the stuffed animal pig that Sophie sleeps with every night.

This view is from the closet in this room. I love our Pier 1 headboard and as much as I would love to have a king sized bed someday I would be so sad to not use this headboard anymore! I laughed while looking up the headboard link because I remember Tim commenting on how I made such an expensive purchase. It's on clearance right now so definitely go check it out (it's 50% off currently!) but even when it was full price it's not as expensive as half the stuff we have to buy for the house nowadays. Oh my how things change :)

Our nightstands and both dressers are from IKEA. They have held up really well and are quite sturdy. I love that there are super deep drawers but if I could go back in time I would have purchased the white ones instead of the brown-black color. These show dust SO easily and I think the white would've been a little bit easier to hide dust.

Looking back towards the doorway you can see the closet door and our tall dresser. I love the decor on top of the dresser. I just set a few things on top and ended up loving it! The let's stay home sign has never been so relevant.

Our long dresser holds our tv and some personal care products. I also have two hampers, one for clothes and one for towels, blankets and sheets. I purchased these off Amazon and they are the XL and L size respectively.

One more view back up the bed. Our comforter was a wedding gift and it's so soft! Our lamps were purchased at Target and are so simple but I like them that way.

So that is our bedroom so far. Like I said, we will continue to make updates to our home so I'm sure someday you'll see this room and it will look totally different!

Black Friday Haul 2017

Oh it's Monday again.... How is that even possible? This four day weekend flew by and I hope that you enjoyed Thanksgiving with your loved ones. We had a great weekend and I'll share more of that during my life lately post.

The first thing I picked up was an Apple Watch for Tim and one for me. Kohls had an amazing deal! I ended up getting $200 Kohls cash back from buying them online during the Black Friday sales. Tim managed to get some good Black Friday sales from Kohls as well.

We stopped by CVS on Friday so I could stock up on my freebies!

Every year I love to go get these freebie deals!

I also picked up a DVD at Walmart for $7, who doesn't love Wonder Woman?!

I also used a 30% off coupon to get my Erin Condren planner for next year. Gotta love saving money on things you use everyday!

What did you get Black Friday shopping?

Ladder Bookshelf

Today I'm going to be sharing the decor I have done on my ladder bookshelf. It sits behind our couch right near the front door and I'm absolutely obsessed with it!

I purchased this shelf via Kohls.com and it was one that had to be put together but it was fairly simple to assemble.

I thought I would share the decor specifics and where I purchased everything but I'm very proud of how I styled this bookshelf.

Fun Fall Finds

Hey everyone!

Today I thought I would share a couple of fun things I picked up over the last few weeks.

I went to Bath and Body Works on a recent shopping trip with my friend Brittni and couldn't resist picking up a few goodies. I am obsessed with the Leaves Candle and had to pick up a couple again this year. I love the new packaging with the beautiful top to the candle and how simple the label is.
I picked up a body lotion and shower gel in guava pineapple splash because there were 50% off! I also picked up Bright Autumn Day and Crisp Morning Air hand lotions because they are perfect size for my purse and these scents smell great for fall!

At Kohls I purchased a bracelet and three pairs of earrings from the Lauren Conrad collection. I love her items and I think they are great quality and cute for every day wear!

Have you bought anything this season that you are loving?

Sunday Night Concert and a Kohls Shopping Spree

Good morning everyone!

I'm going to be backing up to Sunday for this blog post, considering yesterday was a rather dull day =)

For my mom's birthday I bought her tickets to the Goo Goo Dolls/ Matchbox 20 concert for the Comcast Center in Mansfield MA. I gave them to her with the intention that she would take my dad and they would be able to enjoy the concert together. However, on Sunday my dad told me that I would be attending the concert in his place. He hasn't been feeling well lately and is on antibiotics. He also prefers classic rock music and this concert was definitely not his thing (something my mom enjoys a lot more).

I was super excited to be able to go! I saw the Goo Goo Dolls back in 2007 and enjoyed it, but had never seen Matchbox 20. Both of these bands represent my childhood since I am a 90s kid, and I definitely enjoyed every second!

My mom and I arrived at the Comcast Center super early so we could avoid traffic. We ended up hanging out in the parking lot for awhile watching the police search cars and hassle people around us. We ended up going to our seats about 45 minutes before the concert started, but it worked out great since we were under shelter and it started to sprinkle outside. We were thankful I bought tickets far enough forward that we were covered!

Kate Earl was the opening act, who I had never heard of. She came out on stage in what looked like a cape, but then took it off before I took a picture of her...

She announced that she had performed one of her songs for Desiree and Chris on The Bachelorette this past season! She said that she takes credit for the fact that they are now engaged. I was surprised that she was from The Bachelorette, I never would've guessed that.

While we waited for the Goo Goo Dolls to start I took a picture of the gorgeous sunset. The pink streaks across the sky were beautiful!

The Goo Goo Dolls were incredible. They sang every popular song that I wanted to hear, and a brand new one that I downloaded right after their set which I loved. It's called "Come To Me" and is one of my new favorites.

The best part about seeing them in concert is that they sound just like they do on the radio or on their cd. There is literally no difference in their voices and sound at all which makes it so familiar and nice to hear in concert.

Matchbox 20 was also great, they sang all of their popular songs and quite a few I didn't know as well. I noticed that Rob's voice sounded just like it does on his cd as well which was nice!

I always think that Matchbox 20 and The Goo Goo Dolls have very similar sounds so I found that the concert was nice and mellow which was very nice!

As we enjoyed the concert my mom and I definitely got a kick out of the people around us.... The woman next to my mom watched the entire concert through binoculars. Yes, she stared through them the entire time, smiling creepily...it was weird.

Also there were two people in front of us that were competing for spazz of the year awards. Their dancing was out of control! So my mom and I giggled regularly throughout the concert.

Backing up to earlier on Sunday, my mom and I headed to Kohls to shop a little. I went in wanting to buy a suitcase for France. I always borrow a suitcase from my parents and the one I use is not very sturdy and is getting worn out. I wanted to have my own, nice suitcase! However, I ended up buying a couple other things too...

I love my new flipflops from LC Lauren Conrad. I ended up wearing them to the concert and found them extremely comfortable. I usually wear a 7 in shoes, but ended up getting a 6.5 because the 7's felt huge on me! You can find them online here, the color that I have is tan.

I also bought a dress from Lily Rose and I can't wait to wear it. I am thinking I will also bring it to France with me. You can find it here .

I ended up purchasing a Samsonite suitcase since I know they are great quality. This suitcase is 25" which is the medium size, and part of the LEVIT8 collection. I chose the medium one, figuring it will be perfect for France, and possibly someday I could purchase the bigger one and smaller one and have a complete set. For now though, I only need one suitcase =)

Originally this suitcase is $380, but it was on sale and I ended up getting it for $140! I also had a 20% off my entire purchase coupon, and only ended up spending $150 for everything- an amazing deal if I do say so myself.

I plan on doing a blog post on packing for Europe if that is something everyone is interested in.

Also, don't forget that currently a giveaway is going on, just visit this page to enter!

Have a great day everybody!
