August Birchbox

At the end of last week my August Birchbox arrived in my mailbox!

This months theme is 'Keep calm and SPF on" which I think is really cute. I am a huge supporter of SPF since I have seen the effects of skin cancer in my family and I have had my fair share of sunburns =)

The first products I discovered in my box are a shampoo and conditioner by Neil George. This particular set was created by stylists from Beverly Hills and is apparently full of antioxidants. I like receiving shampoo and conditioner samples this size so I can give them a little bit more of a chance then those little sample packs we usually receive.

I have received samples from Dr. Jart+ in the past in my Birchbox, but this one is called the Dis-A-Pore Beauty Balm. This is a face protector that has SPF 30 and works like a foundation which I am definitely excited to try.

I love receiving actual makeup products in my Birchbox. This bronzer is from ModelCo and has some shimmer in it. I'm a little nervous that this bronzer will be a little dark for my skin but I'm willing to give it a try. If it doesn't work now in the summer it will never work for me in the winter =)

The last product in my box is a perfume sample, something I'm not all that excited about. This particular perfume is from Catherine Malanadrino, and on first sniff it smells a little strong but nice enough. I have so much perfume already that these little samples are something I'm never thrilled to receive, but I will definitely give it a go!
