Things I'm Loving Lately

Happy Wednesday loves!

Today I want to share a few things I've been absolutely loving lately. I realized as I was making this list that it's going to seem like most of what I do is watch tv...but it's winter and there's not a whole lot of activities to do at night when it's dark out so early! Plus, it's cold. No one wants to leave the house in Rhode Island this time of year, trust me.

First up is a Christmas gift that Tim gave me this year!

This oil diffuser (which comes from Amazon) is awesome! I've wanted an oil diffuser for some time now and this one has been working great!  I love candles but sometimes I want to know I have something cleaning up the air and that's how the oil diffuser makes me feel.

I also received a bottle of essential oil that I am loving diffusing in it...

Purify was recommended by Kelly Marie on YouTube and I think the smell is great. It makes the air feel fresh and isn't super strong (unless you use a lot of it!) so it is great to use anytime. I also feel like it's purifying the air, especially this time of year when everyone is sick.


I've been working on a personal exercise goal..

I'm using the Couch to 5K app on my iPhone in order to help me achieve it! I needed some sort of goal to work towards so I'm using this app to get me motivated.  I thought this would be a great way to get in shape and get started and if I plan on doing a 5K at some point this year it will give me something to work towards which always keeps me a little more motivated.

A show I recently watched all the way through is The Handmaid's Tale. I had read the book a couple of years ago but never watched the show since the book was disturbing enough but I am SO glad I started watching it. It's very scary, especially during a time like this in the world but so important to be aware of what the world could end up being if a radical religious group ever took over. I would be in Canada SO fast.

Becoming by Michelle Obama was an absolutely AMAZING autobiography. I read it within a four hour time period this past Sunday and didn't regret a minute of my time. Michelle is the most inspiring woman and I can't believe how much I didn't know about her. She came so far in her life and is absolutely brilliant. It made me like her and Barack even more then I already did. If you are at all interested in her life story, definitely give this one a read!

A TV show that Tim and I watched together recently is Superstore which is absolutely hilarious! We watched all the seasons on Hulu and enjoyed it so much. The cast is hilarious and it is created by the same people who made The Office and Parks and Recreation so if you are a fan of either of those shows just give it a try!

I just finished watching the whole season of Marie Kondo's Netflix show called Tidying Up. I love her book and find her organizing methods very inspirational and very much enjoyed her show. I liked that she didn't do all the work for her clients but made them go through their own belongings. It inspires me to pair down my belongings and get rid of things that don't spark joy. Things I'm Loving Lately

Hi there everyone! Today I'm popping in to share some things that I have been loving lately! This kind of post can be filled with a variety of things so you never know quite what you're going to get :)

First up a couple of decor items that I have been absolutely loving in my living room and they were both gifts from my mom!

Starfish Pillows

The first is a set of these pillows from Kohls. 

These starfish pillows are gorgeous! We have two on our couch and I have designated them as decor pillows meaning no one is allowed to squish them! My mom bought these for me for Christmas and I have been enjoying seeing them on my couch every single day since.

RI Home Sign

My mom clearly has great taste because awhile back she bought me this sign:

I believe she purchased this from a store in Charlestown RI called Simple Pleasures which is one of our favorite stores to browse in! I'm sure you could find something similar on Etsy but I think the color of this one is perfect and it works great with my blue/ocean theme that I have going on in my living room.

Football

With the playoffs happening pretty much all we have been watching at my house is football- which is just fine! Both of our teams (Patriots for me and Eagles for Tim) are in the playoffs so we are hoping for a Patriots/Eagles Super Bowl this year!

Back 40 in Exeter RI

Oh my goodness. Last week we went out to dinner and visited Back 40 in Exeter RI for the first time. I tried their Back Mac which is an insanely delicious mac and cheese dish. I kid you not it is the most delicious macaroni and cheese I've ever had in my entire life. My mouth is watering just typing this and I will 100% be going back to have it again.

Speed Cleaning Videos on Youtube

I have been obsessed with Speed Cleaning Videos on Youtube lately. I first discovered them when one of my favorite Youtubers Vasseur Beauty did a video where she cleaned her house and it was sped up. From there my obsession just got worse.

Three Things I'm Loving Lately!

Better Than Sex Mascara

This is one of the best mascaras I've ever tried! The name is a little awkward but the results are fantastic. I have never been able to achieve such great lashes with only a mascara and no primer before! 

Legally Blonde

I've been wanting to watching Legally Blonde for awhile now since I saw the above quote. I have always thought that Legally Blonde and Elle Woods character was very inspiring and I'm glad the world seems to be jumping on board. As someone who has grown up blonde and often treated like I'm not as smart as I am, Elle has always been an inspiration. 

Microwave S'mores 

I have been on a s'mores kick lately and I need to back off before I weigh a million pounds. Making them in the microwave is way too easy!

Things I'm Loving Lately

Happy Tuesday Everybody!

Today I thought I would share with you all some of the things I am absolutely loving lately.

The first involves a little haul from Bath and Body Works...

I am loving the Bath and Body Works Hawaii line! I picked up two candles and three hand lotions and all the scents are absolutely fantastic. I am a huge fan of fruity, summer scents and these are all getting me in the mood for warmer weather!

I picked up this statement necklace at Kohls a month or so ago and I am loving how it transforms simple outfits into exciting ones! In this picture it looks black but in real life it's a deep blue color and I think it's absolutely gorgeous! I usually go for longer necklaces but I think I will need to give shorter statement necklaces more of a try.

I am looking forward to warmer weather, however I am loving my cozy sweaters lately. This is just a collection of three outfits I have worn over the past couple of weeks involving cozy sweaters. They make fashion so comfortable!

I always love the beach but lately I've been trying to channel summer by stopping by a few times each week. Ignore the snow in the bottom right corner, we are still working on getting rid of that mess...

Things I'm Loving Lately

Having Time To Spend At The Beach

I have been enjoying a ton of beach time on our lovely Rhody beaches lately! I bought my season pass at the beginning of the summer and love having what I consider "free" entertainment for the rest of the summer. Once I have spent the $60 on the pass I might as well go as many times as I can and make the pass worth it!

Spending Time With My Best Friends

I have had so many events lately and have loved spending time with my friends. It has been great to see high school friends, college friends and everyone else in between! There are a ton of events coming up in the near future so I will be seeing everyone a lot this fall! =)

The Pogs

The other night I went to a 90's cover band concert and had a blast! The Pogs are a Rhode Island based 90's cover band and I enjoyed rockin' out to the Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, and so many amazing 90's songs! One of my favorites? A 90's TV medley that consisted of Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Friends, and Full House. Not only was the music incredible- the band was full of really nice guys who actually jumped in our picture without being asked- you couldn't find a nicer band!

Hanging With my Mom

I have been spending a ton of time with my mom lately and I am loving it! I am lucky to have the sweetest, most generous mom in the universe and I have been enjoying all the time we have before I start my job!

Trivia

I love playing trivia every week! It is always a blast to hang out with friends while we see how many questions we can get right. I look forward to it and can't recommend Trivia Time USA enough- they do a great job!

Things I'm Loving Lately!

Oh my goodness I have been slacking on writing blog posts lately! Sorry guys!

Last week I was not on a regular schedule for work so now that I am hopefully these posts will become more consistent again. There was no weekly couponing wrap-up last week since I did no coupon shopping- but this week I will definitely be going and I have a whole pile of freebie items I've received ready to share with you on Friday! =)

Four: A Divergent Collection

I will probably be sharing a book review on this collection in the coming weeks, but for now I will just tell you that I am absolutely loving this new book by Veronica Roth! Four is one of my favorite characters of all time and I was thrilled to hear that Veronica was going to be writing short stories from his point of view. They are just as great as I imagined them to be, so if this is on your to-read list  then push it to the top!

Wedding/Bachelorette Party Planning

I have been able to watch a ton of wedding planning lately which has been great! I love being such a big part of two weddings =)

Although the weddings are the most important part of this whole process I am so excited for the bachelorette parties! Rachel's Bachelorette party is coming up in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to celebrate!

Taylor Swift Perfume

I have owned this perfume for a long time but I absolutely have been loving it lately. I will definitely be repurchasing it once I finish the one I'm using now because I really think it is my all-time favorite perfume.

The Beach

I always love the beach, but especially this time of year. If you've been reading for awhile you know that I'm not beyond strolling the beach in January in negative temperatures but it's much preferable during the summer =) If you're ever in New England you should probably come check out the Rhode Island beaches because they are the best.

Penne Alla Vodka

Lately I have been absolutely loving penne alla vodka, it is the most delicious thing ever. Healthiest? Not by a long shot, but absolutely delicious. I have been ordering this at every restaurant I can possibly get it at!
