Life Lately: November Barkbox, Two Thanksgivings and a New Bed

Happy December!! I can't believe we are in the last month of the year already, where did this year go?!

Today I want to share with you a little bit of what's been going on lately around here. First up, Sophie's November Barkbox.

Sophie LOVES when her Barkbox shows up! I swear she can smell it as soon as I put it down on the floor she goes crazy trying to get it open. She loved the Piggies in Blankies, those didn't last long in our house! The Piggie Puffs are still hanging around, and she definitely likes them but they don't give her as much joy as the other treats did! The long term chew didn't last long around here, it was gone within ten minutes.

The theme this month was BarkTV and we received the Sloth themed box. This messenger bag is her favorite out of the toys. She loves chewing on the bag strap, I think because she thinks it's something she shouldn't be chewing on, and she carries this toy around quite a bit! It's also been great for working on tugging because it's easy to each grab a side.

She also loves these two toys. The sloth has lost an arm but he is a favorite around here. The remote has three squeakers inside and she often will bring this over to us to throw for her. Sophie has SO many toys and she will often be laying on the floor surrounded by toys and still get up and go to her toy bin to dig for a toy she wants.

We ordered a new Beautyrest bed for Sophie...

It's her big girl bed and she is starting to really love it! This came from Groupon and I highly recommend you purchase a dog bed off there rather than in store, the prices are so good!

One morning when I had Sophie outside this was the sky. So pretty and the camera doesn't do it justice at all!

I also went to see Frozen 2! It was great and I am obsessed with the soundtrack.

We do two Thanksgivings every year. One with my family on Thanksgiving Day...

Here we are heading to CT as our family of three.

Sophie at my uncle's house. She loves meeting new people!

The best part of Thanksgiving dinner! I really am not a Thanksgiving food person and really don't care for turkey, but chocolate turkeys I am all about!

What are you eating dad? Can I have some?

We only gave her one tiny piece of turkey and look how we spent the night.....

She was exhausted!!!

Love spending time with my family!

On Saturday we headed to Thanksgiving number two with Tim's family...

Sophie and her cousin Attie chewing on each others bones.

We also stopped by Fetch, a local pet store for small business Saturday. Sophie got her picture taken and posted on their Facebook page!

Yesterday was spent lounging around! We definitely needed to recover before heading into the first week of December!

Have a great day everyone and see you back here in a couple of days!

Thanksgiving Weekend 2018

Going back to work is always super hard after such a nice long weekend!

We had a great one around here where we had a nice mix of relaxing and events to attend.

Let's recap, shall we?

On Wednesday night we started our four day weekend by going to see Crimes of Grindelwald! I was so excited to see this and it definitely did not disappoint although now I have a million more questions for JK Rowling if I ever do meet her.

Tim loved it too even though he's not quite as HP obsessed as I am!

On Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving with my family.

This year we celebrated a little differently and went to Venice restaurant for our Thanksgiving meal and then headed back to my parents house for dessert.

It was a lot of fun to catch up with members of my family I don't see as often and Kai kept it interesting as always.

Kai ended up jumping up onto the counter (all four paws) not because he wanted food but there was a moving puppy stuffed animal that he had to have.

It was a great first Thanksgiving as a married couple!

On Friday I shared my trip to the DMV as well as some of my Black Friday shopping. We ended up going out later on and getting some deals at the mall. Old Navy was 50% off everything and Bath and Body Works was buy 3 get 3 free for everything in the store.

On Saturday we celebrated Thanksgiving with Tim's side of the family. It was a nice time and it's always cute to watch Tim play with his nephews!

As for Sunday?  A lot of lounging around and watching football happened here!

I can't believe it's less then a month until Christmas! I'll be sharing my living room decor on the blog soon!

Have a great day loves!

Thankful.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I hope you are able to spend the day with the people you love, eat a ton of food, and reflect on all you have to be thankful for.

Here are a few things I am especially thankful for this year.

My Family

I have been blessed with a wonderful family and amazing parents. I feel blessed every day to have such loving support around me.

My Friends

I love spending time with so many different groups of friends. I am so lucky to have an incredibly supportive group of friends (many of whom have gone un-pictured) and thank my lucky stars every day that I have so many people to turn to. I love you all.

Roxy

This list wouldn't be complete without an adorable picture of my furry friend. I honestly have the sweetest dog in the world. She wouldn't hurt a fly and I am so thankful that she is around to cuddle with and bring joy into my life every day!

My New Job(s)

I have been very lucky this year to be blessed with a new full time job and I'm thrilled to be a position where I feel respected and appreciated. It is a huge change from where I was over the past few years and learned a valuable lesson about who is worth working for and who isn't. I am so lucky to be in a job where I have health benefits and am paid for every moment that I work- very different from my previous position.

I also am thankful and excited to announce that I am the new dance team coach for a local high school! I am thrilled to be working with kids again and of course to have dance back in my life!

Health

Finally, I am so thankful that I am healthy- and for the health of those I love.

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving Day Recap!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend with your family and friends! I also hope you had a fantastic Thanksgiving =)

Mine was great!

We started the day with my dad and Roxy snuggling away on the couch. My mom and I were running around cleaning and getting everything ready since we hosted Thanksgiving this year. My dad kept Roxy company. She tends to love on whoever is staying the stillest. =)

Here is our Thanksgiving table...

The table looked really nice. We are believers in the less clean-up the better, so we used plastic silverware and paper plates. I think it still looks just as nice.

My mom always buys the BEST Sweenors Chocolate Turkeys! Love these things!

All that food...yum!

As we got ready to eat, Reindeer Roxy made an appearance...

How cute is she?!

Then it was dinner time.

I cleared my plate, everything was so delicious.

We had a new little visitor this Thanksgiving..

Meet Eddy. He is my Grammy's new little dog. Roxy was not a fan of him! She growled at him and tried to chase him from the yard..that little girl knows how to hold her ground.

Our sibling picture, because we consider Roxy to be our sister! Notice how she has changed outfits, from the Reindeer costume to her Patriots jersey. That girl loves her clothes.

Overall it was a lovely, low-key day spent with my family. I had a great time catching up with everyone and once everyone left I did some online Christmas shopping and was very productive crossing things off my never-ending to do list!

Tomorrow I'll be sharing my Fall Empties post, sharing my thoughts and reviewing all the products I finished up during September, October and November. See you then!
