Life Lately: Easter and Family Dinner

Monday again?! I'm throwing this post back to a few weeks ago for a recap of our Easter with Tim's family and a family dinner with mine.

Tim stil had to ask the majority of his groomsmen to be in the wedding and Easter was the perfect time to get three of them done!

He found some labels on Etsy and we purchased the label and then were able to customize each one. Here's an example of the one we did for his brother Matt.

Isn't it cute? I thought it was a great, simple way to ask each of his groomsmen! First up he asked his dad, Jim.

He was very touched by the gesture and of course said yes!

Then he asked his brother Dan who pretended to give the beer back! He was joking however and took  the beer and said of course he would love to be a part of the wedding.

When Matt arrived Tim asked him as well and he was also thrilled to be a part of it. It was so fun to see how each of them reacted when Tim asked them. Now he only had two groomsmen left to ask.

Besides just asking the groomsmen we had a great time with Tim's family. We do an annual nip hunt  which is always a great time.

I love when someone offers to take our picture- I always feel weird asking and I hate just having a million selfies!

We also love getting a chance to hang out with Ally and Derek- our bridesmaid and best man!

The following Friday we headed to my parents house for a family dinner. My parents have been in Florida for a few months so it was time to all get together for dinner!

Tim asked my brother Dan to be a groomsman too!

So cute with the man hug! This was 6/7 for asking groomsmen- since Tim asked Fred while they were golfing and I wasn't there to take a picture I will just tell you that he said yes and we officially have a complete bridal party!

Also look how spoiled Kai is- up on the couch with my dad chewing on a bone!

Have a great day everybody!

Florida Vacation: Easter and The Jungle Trail

Easter Sunday was spent with a late morning brunch with my parents. We ended up settling on the Driftwood Resort to eat since they were able to seat and serve us right away without a reservation. It ended up being a great decision because in addition to the beautiful setting right on the beach, everyone complimented their meals.

After brunch we made a quick stop by the Disney Resort in Vero Beach. It's a beautiful resort so we snapped a couple of pictures outside after stopping in the Disney Store to pick up a gift for my moms friend.

We headed back to the house in the early afternoon and Tim and I decided that we would head out on the Jungle Trail. I had been on it before but not extensively so we decided to drive the whole way through. The Jungle Trail is a dirt road that brings you through different areas where you can head off on hiking trails and into different areas and explore.

Tim was super excited to explore! Also, since this is a picture of hm behind the wheel it seems like a good time to talk about our rental car! We ended up renting a compact vehicle from Alamo and it was great! It was a white Nissan Versa and fit both of our suitcases perfectly. It was a great car for two people and amazing on gas!

After driving for awhile we decided to stop and explore The Centennial Trail.

There was a nice walkway on The Centennial Trail that listed all the nature preserves and we were able to find Trustom Pond!

I love hiking and walking around and even though it was super hot and muggy I enjoyed exploring the area.

We didn't get down every trail, but did explore quite a few. I would highly recommend this area because there are so many different places in the area!

After a long day of hiking we headed home where my dad had made a delicious steak dinner for us! We had one more day of Vero Beach left and two days left of our vacation when we went to sleep that night....

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful day with your family and friends. I just thought I would share a few pictures I took today of my time with my family. We met for brunch at a little restaurant in Stonington Borough then afterwards took a walk along the water. It was a great morning and it was nice to see family that I hadn't seen in quite some time. We were just missing my cousin Andrew who is currently away in the Navy, but hopefully we will be seeing him soon!

I hope you had a wonderful day too!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday everyone!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend with family and friends, I certainly did!

On Saturday, I spent a ton of time spring cleaning which I will be sharing with you guys this week. Then I went out for something yummy...

I had a gift certificate for $10 at our local ice cream stand, Lickety Splits so I met up with my best friend Rachel, her boyfriend Ant, and her sister Sara and headed off to get some ice cream! I told them I would donate my entire gift certificate to our ice cream cause as long as they would cover the rest, and it worked out great!

The ice cream you see above is chocolate chip cookie dough with hot fudge, whipped cream, and rainbow sprinkles- it was pretty amazing!

It was so nice to visit with Rachel and her family- they are truly the nicest people and it was so great to spend time with them.

Yesterday I had an amazing time with my family, we went to brunch at a restaurant in Stonington called Noah's Restaurant.

My meal was awesome...

I had the roasted turkey breast sandwich with a side of home fries. I wish they hadn't been so stingy with the home fries- they even had chives on them! Yum, I love chives.

After we finished eating we took a walk through Stonington Borough, where Dan decided to jump the wall and scare us all half to death.

I also took an awful cute picture of Dan and his girlfriend...

It was a great weekend spending time with friends and family! =)

How was your weekend?!
