BIG news!

Happy Tuesday guys! 

Guess what?! Today we found out that we were accepted for the apartment we applied for last week! That means we will be moving sometime in the next few weeks!

It's so exciting but daunting at the same time to think about everything that still needs to be packed and sorted through. I've packed a ton already but there is still so much to do! I will be doing an empties post before I move because I'm certainly not moving a bag full of empty products to the new place! Don't worry I'll definitely be taking you along on this adventure!

Here's what has happened so far this week:

Katie and Isabella came to visit me at work!

Brittni's sister Katie came to visit me at work yesterday and it was so nice to see little Isabella! She is two weeks old and looks so different then when I first met her! It was a nice surprise that definitely brightened my afternoon.

When I texted Tim that I saw Isabella at work he commented that he missed Emma, so after work we headed over to Brittni and Stephen's to see baby Emma (Isabella's cousin!)

I really enjoyed using Snapchat with her! Look what a cute puppy she makes!

We had so much fun spending time over there. It's so cool to see how much she changes each time we see her. I love being able to watch her grow up!

Tonight after work we headed back to Ninigret Park to try one of the other trails we had seen on Sunday.

I ended up tracking when we were about almost halfway done, so we probably walked closer to 2.5 miles or more by the end of our walk. It was so nice to stretch our legs after a long day at the office!

Making Room For Tim: Part 3

Welcome to the final installment of Making Room For Tim! We've officially been living together for a week and a half and so far so good! I'm not used to taking care of anyone other then myself so it's different to have extra laundry, things moved when I get home, and piles of dirt on the floor *ahem* (that was for you Tim if you are reading this!) but I'm enjoying having my best friend around every day. I like knowing that we come home to the same place every day and love having extra time with him that we didn't have when we lived apart. 

So, last we left off I had moved a large portion of his stuff into my room, but there were still a few things to move. Once I got the huge boxes Tim brought over unpacked and unloaded a car-load of items this is what my room looked like:

On Sunday we had a few last minute things to get from his room. Here's what his room was looking like on Sunday 1/31:

 Blue didn't want him to leave!

Empty!

I picked up some containers and coffee scoops from Walmart for his coffee.

Made some room in the linen closet for his Eagles blankets...

Gave him some room in the shower....

Made room for his toothbrush...

And displayed some of his sports stuff!

It's official- we're living together :)

Making Room For Tim: Part 2

Last week was crazy trying to get everything packed and moved from Tim's house to my house. He did a ton of sorting of his belongings and managed to get rid of quite a bit of clothing! He sent me a couple pictures of his packing process.

When I came home last Thursday afternoon I found these boxes ready to be unpacked. You'll see the true size of the bigger box a little further down the post. These boxes took me quite awhile to unpack but it was nice to see some progress!

By the end of Thursday night we had quite a bit completed!

On Friday we took a break from moving. Tim won his softball league- I have never seen him not win a softball season! :)

On Saturday I took a whole car load of Tim's items to my house. Here's what his room was looking like on Saturday morning before finishing packing my car.

Not much left there! We had a bit of finishing up to do on Sunday but the majority of Tim's stuff was either already at my house or in the car. We only had a few things left to transport including his tv and  mattress (which will be going into storage until we move out)

A car full of stuff! The bag behind me is actually a bag of donations, I was very proud of how much Tim donated!

Making Room For Tim: Part 1

I mentioned last week in my What's Coming blog post that Tim was moving in and I needed to start making room for him. So I spent a night last week re-arranging the furniture. I am one of those girls who cannot wait for anyone else to help me and insists on dragging the furniture around on my own. So here is an updated room tour:

I'm lucky to have a pretty spacious bedroom, however my queen size bed takes up quite a bit of room.  By rotating my bed this direction, Tim gets something he wanted- being sideways to the tv. This is apparently very important in boy-land!

I switched my bookshelf and cube storage so the tv would be lower (again- apparently important in boy-world) and although I don't love the setup it is only temporary until we move out into our own place in May. Notice on the bookshelf there are significantly less there! I got rid of so many photo albums which has not only saved me space but has allowed me to organize my photos in a way that makes so much more sense.

Here's a view of one side of my closet, we will get into the dresser in just a minute.

I moved all of my tanktops up onto my dress rack, so now I only take up half of the low hanging rack. I didn't end up getting rid of anything, I simply just rearranged items for now.

A different view of my closet, I have folded clothes on the second shelf now and my shoes are all grouped onto the top shelf. There is definitely more organization I can do, but that will come with time and I'm sure once Tim brings everything of his here I may be doing some more organization.

I emptied out three of my dresser drawers! I have two drawers on the top filled with my items, but everything else has room for Tim's clothes!

You saw on Monday during my Day In The Life post that I purchased some plastic organizers for Tim's clothes so hopefully we will have all the space we need. Once we move out I will be looking for permanent furniture, but for now plastic will do!

When you moved in with your boyfriend/girlfriend did you have to do a bunch of organizing? What was the hardest part of moving in together?
