Well, it's here New Years Eve. It's time to start thinking about what we want to change in the next year. What goals we want to set and what we regret from the year that has passed by. Here's what I want to change:
1. Be Social.
In case you weren't aware (I don't think I've ever discussed this on the blog before) I suffer from anxiety. One of the best things one of my ex-boyfriends ever did for me was convince me to see a doctor and get anxiety medication. My anxiety is mostly social- I get nervous entering into crowded rooms or going somewhere and meeting someone. I'm always nervous that I won't be able to find the person I'm supposed to meet and will end up wandering aimlessly while people around judge me. It sounds stupid- but it's really difficult to function in a world like this.
My goal for 2015 is to work on being social. I want to talk to more people and not hide in my shell. I'm a pretty shy person and it's difficult for me to think up things to talk about in social settings. I want to work on combating that this year.
2. Let My Guard Down, But No Broken Hearts
I fall fast and hard. This is something I also haven't discussed here on the blog since it's a more personal issue, but I think it's important to share. I tend to do one of two things when meeting someone new: I either guard my heart with walls of steel or I let my guard down too quickly and end up with a broken heart. I know it seems like an unrealistic goal but I would like to find a happy medium where I'm not hurting but also not regretting how I lacked putting myself out there.
3. Find A Healthy Balance Of Health and Fitness
I now work at a place with a gym built in- and get a free membership. It's a pretty amazing perk but I also don't want to hang around at work more then I already have to. I need to create a plan to fit exercise into my life in a healthy way. I also want to start planning out my meals and making sure I'm living a healthier lifestyle. This isn't to lose weight or reach a crazy fitness goal- it's simply about being healthy.
4. Create Balance On The Blog
I need to work on creating a balance in my life that allows me to get all my work done and still have fun. I also need to remember my responsibilities. I go through phases where all I can think about is this blog and getting new content on the site as quick as possible. Other times I forget about it for days because there is so much going on in my personal life.
I enjoy blogging so much that I know I could never give it up- but this year I may not always post five days a week. Project 365 will be ending tomorrow and I will not be doing it again in 2015. Couponing Wrap-ups will no longer be weekly and I will only post them when I actually feel like couponing. I'm not sure what other changes will come throughout the new year but I promise my presence in this little corner of the web will never disappear. =)
What are your goals or resolutions for 2015?
Have a great New Years Eve everyone- be safe and I'll see you all next year ;)

2014 Resolutions
Today we're talking about New Year's Resolutions!
I am one of those people who makes a ton of resolutions and can usually only handle one. I have done pretty well over the last two years. Two years ago I quit biting my nails- something I'd been doing since birth. Last year I quit drinking soda regularly- something I'd been doing since childhood. I am quite proud of myself for completing these goals, but it's a new year and time for new challenges!
I decided to pick five things to focus on this year.
Finally get my second tattoo.
I have been talking about getting a second tattoo forever. I know exactly what I want and where I want it, but I need to make it happen! So don't be surprised if you find me a little more tatted up in 2014!
Take a ton of pictures.
I am planning on doing Project365 on Instagram this year. Project 365 is where you take a picture every day for the entire year. I want to post a picture a day on Instagram, which shouldn't be too difficult since I take a ton of pictures anyways, but I want this to be something I stick with all year long! I will make sure I share this on the blog, but you can also join me over on Instagram by clicking the link in the sidebar -------->
Less stuff = Less stress
This mantra refers to my new donation plan for the year which you can read all about in yesterday's post.
Get into a regular exercising schedule.
I am hoping that my new Fitbit will inspire me to move more every day. For the last week, I have been taking part in the 30 day squat challenge, as well as making myself complete some sort of work out every day. I know that it will be more difficult being back at work and exercising regularly, but I am willing to try! I want to get back to the shape I was in when I danced every day.
Write every day.
Not just here on the blog, but other places as well. I want to keep a journal and write in it regularly. I also hope to write out some of the stories that are bopping around in my head. I always have dreamed about writing a book, maybe this will be the year? No pressure =)
What are your resolutions this year?!

How I'm Doing On Those New Years Resolutions...
Back in January I wrote about my New Years Resolutions for the year and I thought it would be fun to see how I'm doing on those resolutions since the year is flying past!
Here is what my original New Years Resolutions were (and my new thoughts are in blue)
Travel more. I want to get out there more, take time off of work and travel! I hope that I will be able to accomplish this one. - I am accomplishing this one, I took time off work and will be leaving for France on Thursday! I also went to Disney earlier this year as well.
Run a 10K, run a 10 miler. Think about starting to train for a half marathon (scary!) I did run in a 10K, however I think I will just continue running for fun (as fun as it can be) rather then trying to run certain races. I think that it needs to be a non-pressure situation in order for me to enjoy it!
Go back to school and start working on my medical billing certificate. I've completely changed my mind on this one. I am instead looking for jobs right now in very different areas then medical billing and when I have secured something you guys will definitely hear about it!
Get back into taking more pictures with an actual camera- not my iPhone! I did get a brand new camera and have begun taking more pictures with my actual camera. Sometimes I take pictures with my phone because I can't bring a camera into the place I am (like a concert) but i have been mostly taking pictures with my camera lately!
Get caught up with my scrapbooks!!! Well, I am certainly am not caught up on my scrapbooking...but I am definitely getting there! I do want to continue to take more time to scrapbook in the future.
Make a budget and stick to it!!! I have been working hard at budgeting my money and I am continuing to budget every month which has been a new thing for me this year. I think I'm doing pretty well
Actually complete some projects off of pinterest that I want to complete! I haven't had a ton of time to do this, but with the amount of projects I have to complete on pinterest I hope that I can complete a few.
Volunteer and do more for other people. Honestly my couponing has allowed me to do more for other people. I'm able to get things for free and give them to others!
Make time to read every day. I love to read but have not had as much time lately and should make more time to read on a daily basis. I have NOT been reading every day. But I have been reading quite a bit throughout the year. I want to continue to find more time to read in the coming months.
Take time enjoy life. I often find myself looking into the future and not thinking about the now. I need to just enjoy what's happening right now. This for me is always a struggle because I am so focused on the future and cannot enjoy what's going on during the present. I'm still working on this, but I'm definitely getting better about it!
So, overall I think I've done a pretty good job at sticking to my resolutions this year. How are your New Years Resolutions going?
