Boston Ballet's Nutcracker

On Sunday I took a day trip up to Boston to see the Boston Ballet perform The Nutcracker with my friend Kristin. We had been planning this for quite a long time and I was excited that the time to go was finally here!

Kristin had to work in the morning so we ended up leaving around 1:30 in the afternoon which left plenty of time before our 5:30 show.

We took the commuter rail into the city and actually saw a sign for the ballet that we were attending right on one of the walls....

Of course we had to check out the tree in the Omni Parker Hotel we stayed in when we went to Boston  back in July. It was gorgeous of course!

We also walked past the Old City Hall which was decorated so beautifully!

We had some time to walk around and do some shopping (although neither of us actually bought anything- holiday budgets!) We wandered through DSW, Bath and Body Works and I got a hot chocolate from Starbucks which made me feel so Christmas-ey!

Then it was time to go to the ballet! We ended up waiting outside the doors for awhile

Then we ended up waiting in the auditorium for awhile and snuck a picture in even though it was prohibited! Bad kids! =)

The show was wonderful! I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing a ballet and lives in the Boston area.

After the show we wandered around and checked out some pretty Christmas lights throughout Boston.

The Christmas tree was truly gorgeous and definitely put me in the Christmas spirit.

Me in front of the tree...

Overall it was a great time! I would love to make this a yearly tradition =)

Do you see any shows this time of year? What show do you see?
